Pink and Blue Conveyor Belt Winders in Support of Health Awareness for Roy Hill

Two eye-catching Belle Banne Conveyors belt winders have been proudly delivered as part of a collaborative initiative with Roy Hill. The winders are specially painted pink and blue in support Roy Hill’s commitment to men's health and breast cancer awareness.

Apart from the distinct colour differences, the winders are identical in every other specification, maintaining the robust engineering standards that Belle Banne Conveyors is known for. Within the Fenner Conveyors Group, Belle Banne Conveyors lead the engineering, design and delivery of specialised belt handling equipment, including belt winders, belt pullers, belt flaking stations, belt turning frames, and more.

Each with a 150kNm torque capacity, these “high winders” are larger than standard industry models, standing 1 meter taller and are designed to accommodate 8-meter diameter jumbo reels. Designed to hold a belt width of up to 2400mm wide and withstand a belt reel mass of 90 tonnes thanks to the specially designed 225mm x 225mm square solid gear driven shaft, these winders are built to perform under the most demanding conditions.

Manufactured locally at the workshop in Traralgon, Victoria, the winders have now been deployed at Roy Hill's Ports operations, adding to Belle Banne Conveyors’ global fleet of more than 60 conveyor belt winders operating in locations worldwide. These high-quality winders will be crucial for the effective installation and change-out of conveyor belt at Roy Hill’s ports across the Pilbara.

The colour choice of pink and blue reflect Roy Hill's dedication to supporting health initiatives. Pink is used in support of Breast Cancer Awareness, while blue represents Men's Health. These colours are not just symbolic; they are integral to the corporate ethos at Roy Hill.

Mechanical Engineer, Sebastian Famularo, said that when engaging with Roy Hill on the delivery of this project, strict guidelines were provided for any equipment delivered to their sites. Only the designated colour swatches of pink and blue are permitted for infrastructure and equipment such as trucks, trains, and now, conveyor belt winders.

“It’s a clear demonstration of the company’s level of commitment to these health causes, and something we’re proud to get behind,” explained Famularo.

“By getting involved with Roy Hill’s campaign, our equipment will contribute to raising awareness for those affected by breast cancer and men's health issues, and prompt people within our industry to regularly check-in with their health.”

“We’re pleased to contribute to this initiative, delivering belt winder equipment that not only meet the highest standards of engineering but also shows support for these important health causes.”
