One of the major risks for long dift or overland belts is longitudinal rip. The cost to replace a torn belt can run ints the millions, even before considering the cost of lost production. RipSaver was developed to detect longitudinal rips as soon as possible.
Transmitter and receiver technology are positioned on opposite sides of the belt, while sensors are located at loading and discharge for maximum protection. When a signal fails to be detected the belt is immediately shut down.
Increase Performance
Increase conveyor availability
Reduce unscheduled down-time as a result of unidentified rips impacting production
Reduce Total Cost-of-Ownership
Reduce maintenance costs
Detecting a belt rip in an early stage increases the window for repair before significant damage and replacement costs
